President
Laurie Glaude PHR
Laurie Glaude PHR, is the President and CEO of Aurora Business Solutions. She is married with five children, four grandsons and resides in New Hampshire. Laurie is active within the community and serves on a number of non-profit boards, most notably Child Health Services of Manchester. She is current president of the national organization American Nystagmus Network and also the serves on the board of Manchester Area Human Resources Association. Laurie serves on the NH State HR Council. In 2010 Laurie was awarded the very prestigious Granite State HR Hero Award. Laurie’s family is widely affected by nystagmus and has been a member of ANN since 2005.

Vice President
John D. Cranmer
John lives with his wife Tricia (also a BOD member) and sons Jack and Will in Moorestown, New Jersey a suburb of Philadelphia. Jack was diagnosed with INS at the age of 3 months and had surgery with Dr. Hertle at 18 months. John specializes in Real Estate, Land Use and Construction law at Archer & Greiner, PC. Prior to joining Archer & Greiner, John was General Counsel and Director of Property Management for a mid-sized developer of multi-family housing in the greater Philadelphia Area. John is an avid sailor and squash player.  He is also on the Board of the New Jersey Apartment Association, NJAA Charitable Fund, Inc., Businesses Committed to Burlington County and Mordecai Land Trust, Inc. 

Treasurer
Mike Arm
Mike is a long time board member wearing a number of hats (which explains the lack of hair), including treasurer and webmaster. He has been on the Board since 2001 He was one of Dr. Hertle’s first adult patients during research trials at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Participation in the trials led him down the road to getting his driver’s license at age 50. In real life, he is a semi-retired systems engineer, spending 40 years in the IT field, the last 33+ with Northrop Grumman. He has an M.S in Technology Management from American University. He is married, lives in Herndon, VA, and has 3 daughters, one of whom made him a proud grandpa on Memorial Day.

Secretaries
Rosalyn Adekunle
Roz is currently a retired Benefits and Learning Consultant. Teaching, facilitation and training are her passions. She has used her skills internationally and feels honored to have done so.  She is married with two children. Her interests are reading, writing, community outreach and involvement with her church community.

Kelly Smith
Kelly Smith is an archivist at the Senator John Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh, PA. She earned her Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008. After graduation, she became a Dance Heritage Coalition Fellow at Jacob’s Pillow in Massachusetts and volunteered at several archives in Pittsburgh before beginning her current position. Ms. Smith has been a board member since 2007. She lives in Pittsburgh.

Directors
Rick Beaudet
Rick has been a board member and newsletter editor for 6 years. He is married to Mona – Newsletter Publisher for 6 years. He has 4 children, Son - Alec (16) has INS and triplets - Austin, Matthew and Laura (13) do not have INS. He works for Honeywell as a research/developer on ultra high strength fiber used mainly in ballistics protection applications.

Tricia Summers Cranmer
Tricia Summers Cranmer joined ANN in 2006 and became a board member in 2009. Her oldest son, Jack was diagnosed with INS at 3 months old. Tricia is the Managing Principal of The Summers Group LLC, a retained executive search firm. Prior to starting The Summers Group, Tricia was with one of the leading executive search firms, Spencer Stuart. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and practicing yoga. Tricia lives in Moorestown, NJ with her husband John, and two sons - Jack (5) and Will (2).

Kerri Nagle
Kerri joined ANN in 2007 and became a board member in 2009.  She joined ANN to learn more about Nystagmus to help her daughter Brooke.  Her goal with ANN is to help children with Nystagmus build relationships with their peers in order to begin having a support system.  She is in the process of planning a family camp weekend to work towards this goal. 

Tony Fuhrer
James "Tony" Fuhrer II is an Auditor and Certified Tax Examiner for St. Mary Parish Sales Tax Department. Tony is an avid golfer and hosted the first Annual ANN Golf Classic. Soon after attending the 2009 ANN Conference Tony joined the ANN board and serves on the finance committee.  Tony’s son James is affected by nystagmus.

Joanne Opiela
Joanne has served on the Board of Directors since 2009.  In addition to her general board duties she assists with the web content.  Mrs. Opiela’s full time position is with Full Service Network as a Senior Manager of Operations and Preferred Accounts.  She has been employed by the company since 1994.  During her time with the company she has overseen the deployment of multiple Class 4/5 switches along with numerous network reconfigurations. 
Joanne has periodic alternating nystagmus along with acute astigmatism.  She is legally blind and currently does not drive.  The diagnosis of nystagmus was not made until the age of 2.  She never underwent surgery for correction of her strabismus and horizontal tenotomy until she was an adult. 

Joanne earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Western European Studies with a Minor in German from the University of Pittsburgh.  She resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with her husband and daughter. In addition to ANN, she also is a member of Division 4 Ladies Ancient Order of the Hibernians.

Katherine Ealey
Katherine joined ANN in 2008 and became a board member in 2011. She lives in Fort Mill, SC with her husband and two children. Katherine was diagnosed with Nystamus at the age of 9 weeks. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She currently works as a financial analyst at Bank of America

Christine Smith
Christine lives in South Eastern Pennsylvania with her husband and 3 sons. Her youngest son Connor is 12 years old and has Nystagmus due to Ocular Albinism. Connor was diagnosed with nystagmus at 10 weeks old. He has had 2 very successful eye surgeries to correct a rather significant head turn. After his diagnosis Christine found ANN online and attended a conference shortly after. She joined the board in 2003 because she was so impressed by the people she met there and the help and information she received from ANN. Christine served on the ANN board from 2003 - 2009 and is happy to be back on the board now again in 2011. She is a Registered Nurse and works at a major Insurance Company as a consultant for medical auto claims. In her spare time she enjoys skiing, running, hiking and traveling with her family. She is also a very active volunteer for her son's Boy Scout Troop.
