The American Nystagmus Network is pleased to present ANN members, who are pursuing a post secondary education the opportunity to apply for an academic scholarship. ANN intends to award several scholarships that may range from $1,000 to $2,500 at the discretion of the ANN Board of Directors.
Scholarship rules are listed below.
• Applicants must have nystagmus and submit medical certification with a diagnosis of nystagmus.
• Applicants must be a current ANN Student Member or be an ANN Regular Member or higher (Regular membership includes children or grandchildren up to age 21, or if a full time student, up to age 25).
• Applicants must be accepted as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited institute of higher learning. The application must include the school’s name and address as the check will be sent directly to the school on behalf of the student.
• Applicants must submit a 500 word or less essay about his/her experiences living with nystagmus and how he/she has been able to overcome obstacles in doing so. Essays that exceed 500 words will be disqualified.
• By submitting an application, Applicant grants ANN a non-exclusive right to use, or cause others to use, the contents of the Application or any parts thereof for any purpose, including publication and posting in the ANN list serve and published in ANN’s newsletter the ANNagram. All submissions will become the sole property of ANN and will not be returned.

• Applications must be postmarked by June 15th, 2010 to the address above. Applications received after this date will be disqualified. The decision to award a scholarship is the responsibility of the ANN Board of Directors and their decision is final. ANN has no obligation to make an award and reserves the right to waive any defects, reject any or all Applicants for any reason or terminate the process at any time.
• Scholarship winner(s) will be notified no later than August 1, 2010.
